Hi there

Vision

Aspire to Inspire

As the Founder of My Counsellor India (MCI), my work is dedicated to helping individuals, schools, and organisations build emotionally aware and mentally resilient communities.
Since 2019, I’ve been deeply involved in stress and depression counselling, family and marital therapy, and emotional well-being programmes. My understanding of awareness and healing changed profoundly during the COVID-19 lockdown, when I witnessed the vulnerability and uncertainty that touched so many lives.
Having been in professional counselling since 2013 — working closely with teenagers and their parents — I realised that true healing lies not in quick solutions but in building mental resilience and a stable mindset that can endure life’s challenges. Since then, I’ve focused on mindset training and conducting wellness workshops for parents and students.
As a Behavioural Psychology Expert and Senior Counsellor, I’ve devoted my career to nurturing emotional strength and clarity in people’s lives. Alongside counselling, I also train and mentor aspiring counsellors to become empathetic, ethically grounded, and compassionate professionals, committed to improving India’s mental health landscape. I believe that mental health education and mindset training should be as integral to growth as academic learning itself.

  • Tell us about your work experience?

Academically, I hold degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and History, which have shaped my multidisciplinary understanding of human behaviour and society.

With over 12 years in IIT–NEET coaching at Aakash Institute, Rao IIT Academy, and Reddy’s Institute of Excellence, I’ve mentored aspiring IITians and doctors, including top national rankers. Those years taught me that success doesn’t begin with intelligence — it begins with a healthy mind and a guided sense of purpose.

  • What is family counselling and what is your role in it?

In my opinion, Family counselling is a type of therapy that focuses on helping families improve their relationships and communication skills. It is designed to help families resolve conflicts, build stronger relationships, and develop healthier communication patterns. Through family counselling, individuals and families can learn to better understand one another and learn to resolve conflicts in a healthy and productive way. Family counselling can also help family members to better understand their own feelings and those of their family members. It provides an opportunity for families to work together to create positive change and build a more harmonious and connected family. Family counselling can be beneficial for families dealing with divorce, adoption, illness, addiction, death, or any other significant life event. It can also be beneficial for families who are struggling with communication, parenting, or other issues. My role as a psychologist in family counselling is to provide guidance, create a safe environment, identify issues, develop tailored strategies, facilitate communication, promote boundaries, offer education and resources, monitor progress, and collaborate with other professionals.
