    My name is Rupesh Ra Shukla, and I have had the privilege of being a successful Career Coach and a mentor to over 21,000 students throughout my career. I began my journey at the prestigious Aakash Institute (now known as "Aakash BYJU'S") in 2013, where I worked as a student mentor and administrator, conducting personal counselling sessions and supporting students academically. At Aakash, I received recognition and awards in the Departmental Procedures-Admin and Counselling category. In 2015, I worked with Raise Education, an organization dedicated to empowering students and making a positive impact on their lives.
    From 2017 to 2019, I worked at Rao IIT Academy, playing a crucial role as a student mentor and administrator, guiding numerous JEE and NEET aspirants to achieve exceptional ranks in their respective exams.
    In April 2019, I established Reddy's Institute of Excellence, aiming to provide exceptional education and mentorship to nurture and cultivate young minds. We at Reddy’s work with the vision of taking and coaching only 20 students in a batch.
    Throughout my career, I proudly contributed mentoring to students achieving All India Rank 03, All India Rank 05, and All India Rank 09. I have been driven by a passion for mentoring and a dedication to helping students achieve their goals. In September 2019, I founded "My Counsellor India" to raise awareness about these challenges, particularly during the crucial years of students in grades 9 to 12. Additionally, I have served as a mental health advisor, offering support to individuals dealing with anxiety, fear, depression, and related issues.
    I am committed to continuing my work in helping individuals overcome anxiety, fear, depression, and related struggles. My goal is to provide quality education, valuable guidance, and a supportive environment to help people thrive.

  • What is family counselling and what is your role in it?

    In my opinion, Family counselling is a type of therapy that focuses on helping families improve their relationships and communication skills. It is designed to help families resolve conflicts, build stronger relationships, and develop healthier communication patterns. Through family counselling, individuals and families can learn to better understand one another and learn to resolve conflicts in a healthy and productive way. Family counselling can also help family members to better understand their own feelings and those of their family members. It provides an opportunity for families to work together to create positive change and build a more harmonious and connected family. Family counselling can be beneficial for families dealing with divorce, adoption, illness, addiction, death, or any other significant life event. It can also be beneficial for families who are struggling with communication, parenting, or other issues. My role as a psychologist in family counselling is to provide guidance, create a safe environment, identify issues, develop tailored strategies, facilitate communication, promote boundaries, offer education and resources, monitor progress, and collaborate with other professionals.

    To manage and reduce anxiety/stress levels, practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and mindfulness, engage in regular physical exercise, and maintain a healthy lifestyle with adequate sleep, balanced diet, and time for self-care.     To improve self-esteem and self-confidence, practice self-care, challenge negative self-talk, and engage in activities that you enjoy and excel in. Seeking therapy or counseling can also provide valuable guidance and techniques for building self-esteem.
